Sometimes we just need remind ourselves to live slow- reconnect with passions, emotions, and goals. And, instead of looking outward, look within. We have so much power within us to make the life we want & it just takes being more aware to tap into this potential. It is time use these journaling spreads to live consciously.

In 3 years, I have gone through 3 bullet journals. I can’t believe it! I love to look back and see how much I have grown or just read some pretty amazing memories. Over these years, I have fallen in love with 5 spreads which have helped me be true to myself, let loose, and gather my thoughts to live consciously. So, get comfortable and let’s chat about how you can start bullet journaling.

Making the Most of Bullet Journaling

Whenever I sit down to begin, I surround myself with things that remind me to live slow; because your world around you should be a reflection of how you want to live! I love to diffuse some essential oils, open my window, play some music. Also, take some time before you put the pen to paper to get comfortable. There’s nothing I love more than having the space and peace I need to release goodness.

If you are new to bullet journaling or you are like me, I think it is always important to remember that perfection is not welcome here. Be messy and be authentic to let your thoughts flow freely. The greatest tip I can give anyone who journals is to just be you. Because there is no better way to start living consciously, than embracing your messy.

My 5 Favorite Spreads

Here are some of my favorite spreads to get you started and reconnected with your passions, thoughts, and goals…

  1. Random Thoughts Spread: A place to write down anything and everything. Little to no method goes in to this page, as I just scribble down the worries, ideas, or mantras I haven’t been able to shake.
  2. Vision Page Spread: Just like a vision board, I create vision pages. Which are where you can make a tangible representation of where you want to be in 6 months, 1 year, or 5 years. (If you need inspiration head to my Pinterest)
  3. Daily Reflection Spread: Every night I reflect on my day- a good memory that was made, something that was weighing me down, and expressing some needed gratitude. Just by reflecting upon your day helps you grow into living more consciously.
  4. Habit Tracker Spread: Wanting to make drinking more water, sleeping 8 hours, doing yoga or calling your mom a habit? You can simply create a spread for the month to tally the days you completed the task.
  5. Self-Care Routine: Whether you want your “me time” to be in the am or pm, make yourself a little routine that will leave you feeling refreshed and awake. (ideas: face mask, yoga, meditation, short workout, healthy meal, reading)
  6. To-Do List & Not-To-Do List Spread: I know… I said 5 but I couldn’t help myself. I have become a fan of list making, so I can stay accountable for my productivity. But, it is not just for what I have to do. Add in what you do not have to do. Talking about you Instagram & mail notifications…
